I was thinking about maybe going to Canada if/when my kids go to college, and I retire. Or at least visit or spend some time in Canada.
My initial impression re: the $5 million gold card: I think $5 million is not a small amount of money, and they are many other options for that in the world too. Doesn’t have to be in the USA.
On YT I have a playlist (retirement) that actually have quite a few people talking about potential retirement destinations in the USA and outside the USA. I also tend to think some of the YouTubers are not seriously thinking about those locations themselves, rather they are in for viewer ships and the ads dollars.
(Update 03-04-2025 Tuesday) It’s the traditional state of the union night, I am not watching it, due to my politics. Also, came across this: I think this YT video by Del Stone Jr. summarizes the current political environment of the USA well – Why aren’t Americans protesting? I will post this again in my future post on 03-06-2025 re: Current status of the USA.
