(Update) Felt I am like a car-thief today: had to climb from back seat to front seat, because the front doors were frozen due to snow. Don’t know how the by standers felt?
(Original) It started to snow here in St. Louis, yesterday morning I saw a little bit snow on the car, this morning I […]

Anhuser Busch became AB Inbev, a well known industrial icon. The new AB Inbev logo looks goofy though. The eagle is fly off the AB Inbev, what does that mean?
The endowment fund of Washing U. lost more than $1 billion this year (from $5.4 billion to $4.1 billion, on the paper), because of the weakness […]

Bill Clinton visits Kirkwood
President Bill Clinton visit St. Louis this past Monday (10/20), and we got a peek at the popular former president. I always admired Bill’s speaking skills. He did the job well: he was making the case for Obama. His main talking points are: on key issues like […]

I am talking about the attention it gets from the presidential candidates, their supporters and the media. We already had the biggest event for Obama (100,000 people) showed up on Saturday at Gateway Arch. (Update July 17) I went to Fazoli this evening to take some food home. Surprisingly there are many people again. Another sign average people are feeling the pinch in this recession.
(Original) Fazoli has been my favorite lunch places for a while. Recently it got more and more crowded during lunch time. This seems strange […]

Amid all the craziness on oil, stock market and iPhone, yesterday I realized the Beijing Olympics is coming in 4 weeks, and it seems I can not go there for the event. Fortunately I got a piece of Olympics since 2004. In the picture below, at the left is a Coca Cola limited edition can […]

This morning I need to drop my car at repair shop for the day. Not wanting to walk back, or disturb my friend, I decided to ride the bus. I did some research about the bus last night. I used the trip finder to find the route, schedule. I tried it: from “Olive Blvd at […]

It seems the market is not the only thing that is testing our mind/heart/nerve/will, the midwest flood has also caused substantial demage to WI, IA, IL and the Show Me state. Couple days ago the levee at Hanibal broke. Don’t know if the Mark Twain museum there has been demaged?
The Missisipi River will crest STL […]

Bread and gas
Panera officially raised the price of Asiago cheese bagel, from 97 cents to $1.25, which is expected as I read it from news couple weeks ago. The regular unleaded gas is $3.999 in STL. Cheaper than Salt Lake city, but more expensive than Jackson, WY.
Some random thoughts about the trip
Chevlet Impala is […]
